Supertrend is one of the most popular trend indicators for MetaTrader 5. It draws a dynamic line that sits below price when the trend is bullish and above it when the trend is bearish, giving a very clear visual reading of market direction. It combines a moving average with the average true range (ATR) to adapt to volatility.
How to use it
Traders use it to detect trend changes when price crosses the line, to place dynamic stops following the indicator line, and as a direction filter in trend following strategies. It works on any pair and timeframe.
